Modern and Creative Headshot Photography
Meet Danielle – She started as a handmade goods seller on Etsy and quickly discovered a formula for success. As a result, she started her consulting business known as The Merriweather Council. Danielle’s an incredible wealth of knowledge and her advice and resources extend to the marketing and sales of just about anything online.
Danielle contacted me about headshots – but not stuffy headshots associated with traditional brick and mortar businesses. Today’s entrepreneurs and business owners – particularly in creative fields – need headshots that feel authentic and work across a variety of platforms such as blogs, Facebook and Instagram. I offer a session called “Modern Headshots” for this type of business owner. We’ll sit down and talk through your business and branding and come up with a solution that’s personalized to your business needs.
In Danielle’s case, she wanted photos that represented a work day or perhaps what she might look like on a business meeting with a client. She also needed some photos that were casual, fun and represented her creative side – after all, she’s working with and marketing to other creatives – primarily Etsy store owners. She’s developed a podcast and marketing materials that reflect not only her leadership in the industry but also her creative approach to marketing. She even added a scooter in for some of her photos – since she’s been known to “scoot” her way around her Norfolk neighborhood!
We also incorporated images taken in her home workspace that she could use in her Instagram feed. I love that she thought well beyond just a photo for her Instagram profile! She’s been using the photos for well over a year – since we shot such a variety of looks and options. My headshots come with full usage rights to all final images and makeup and hair can be added to sessions for a minimal cost.
